Waterloo Public Library has Making Time for You: Novels in Nature, a relaxing evening designed to help you slow down and build the habit of self-care. 6 pm at the Main Library.
Wednesday, September 3
Join KPL for Lit and Wit at the Central Library for a fun night of book themed trivia in honour of International Literacy Day! Compete by yourself or as a team of up to 6 people for a chance to show your literary skills and win a prize!
Thursday, September 4
Head over to Wave Maker Craft Brewery for the very first pour of United Wave Amber Ale, with 50 cents from each pour going directly to United Way Waterloo Region, supporting local charities in our community.

Friday, September 5
Dylan Mandlsohn headlines Rusty Nail Comedy at TWH Social. Doors at 7, laughs at 7:30. This Toronto born comic has recently made history by becoming the only Canadian to be a back-to-back finalist in both the San Francisco and Seattle Comedy Competitions. There’s a Saturday show, too!

Saturday, September 6
KPL Stanley Park has a Nature Walk at Kolb Park with David Gascoigne at 10 am. This leisurely walk will explore the Peter Hallman and Walter Bean trails along the river.
The MacGregor Albert Community Association and Mindful Makers are teaming up for a free, drop-in community paper lantern-making workshop on Saturday, September 6 between 2-6 p.m. at the Harvest Picnic Tables in Waterloo Park. A lantern walk will take place at 8 p.m. Pre-registration is not required. This event is funded by TD Park People Grants.

Remember Nerd Week? Robin and Meghan do. Anyway, it’s back. Kind of. Connect, celebrate, and be inspired by the Waterloo Region’s tech innovators at the inaugural Waterloo Tech Week. There are meetups, networking events, and showcases to explore the frontiers of tech, from advances in quantum computing and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity and robotics.
The Princess Cinema has a Rainbow Film Club screening of “Jennifer's Body” at 7 pm. The film will be introduced by Kevin Nixon - a sociocultural anthropologist whose research explores the intersections of gender, sexuality, and the cultural politics of queer performance, with a focus on drag as a site of sociopolitical and affective transformation. Presented in partnership with Rainbow Coalition of Waterloo Region and Spectrum.
