KPL has a Waterloo Region Migration Film Festival screening of “A Dream Called Khushi”, winner of the 2024 Student Oscar (Bronze) and the 2025 Student Emmy. It follows Khushi, a Rohingya refugee in Bangladesh, whose determined pursuit of education gained global attention after an Associated Press journalist shared her story.

The 2025 KW Roper Romp is a fun, themed afternoon event inspired by Mrs. Roper from Three’s Company, bringing the community together on Saturday, September 20 from 1 to 5 pm for retro outfits, good vibes, and great food—all in support of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
