Ways to get involved.

For many children, summer is a time of uncertainty and worry. For these children, school is the place where they receive consistent breakfasts, lunches, and snacks. When school breaks for the summer, these food programs do too which means that children can’t access the food they’ve been depending on since the start of the school year. Provide some certainty for these kids with the FoodBank of Waterloo Region’s Full Bellies. Happy Hearts. fundraising campaign to raise 1.5 million meals between June 1 and August 31.

Currently, only animals small enough to fit in a portable crate enclosure are permitted on-board Grand River Transit vehicles. Support Dog Friendly KW in advocating for dogs to be permitted on LRT trains in the Region of Waterloo with this petition.
