What to read.

Through a random series of connections, I found myself at Jimmy's Lunch with the seemingly everywhere at once Dave Inglis and Emily Squirrell, owner of The Present mediation studio in uptown Waterloo. We had a awesome conversation about meditation over some damn good eggs. If you're interested in learning more, check out their site. They also have a family movie viewing event this Saturday, February 11.

Saturday also is Night Fever in support of THEMUSEUM. This party has everything, a Bee Gees cover band, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated guests, a 50/50 raffle, and if people do enough shots, someone will end up in the Maverick the dinosaur costume.

There's a name for the restaurant opening in the former Firkin space in the Tannery - Taste at the Tannery.

Pints & Pianos is the first Plugin Happening for 2017. They'll be taking over the second floor of the newly renovated Walper Hotel with local brews, #DTK trivia and a full-out duelling piano competition. Get your tickets now for this event happening Thursday, February 23. All proceeds from the event go to support Ray of Hope.
