Head down to Belmont Village on Saturday, Nov. 25 for the annual Christmas in the Village. There are horse-drawn carriage rides, photos with Santa, games for the kids inside the village stores, specials all day and much more. You can even bring your dog for a photo with Santa.

KW Little Theatre's production of "Once Upon a Mattress" runs from Nov. 23 to Dec. 9. If you thought you knew the story of "The Princess and The Pea," you may be in for a walloping surprise! Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. This Thursday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 PM at Centre in the Square.

Back at Centre in the Square on Friday, Nov. 24, Adam Savage, one of television's most loved personalities, has joined forces with Michael Stevens, one of YouTube's biggest stars for Brain Candy. They're bringing along more than three tons of their crazy toys, incredible tools and mind-blowing demonstrations for a celebration of curiosity that’s an interactive, hands-on, minds-on theatrical experience like no other.

Shop handmade this holiday at the 2nd annual Etsy Holiday Market! On Saturday, Nov. 25 from 10 AM to 5 PM, head to RIM Park for an exciting day of holiday shopping from over 75 Etsy shops from Waterloo Region and the surrounding areas. Presented by Living Fresh Flower Studio and hosted by the City of Waterloo, in partnership with Etsy Canada.

Roger’s CHYM 96.7 morning show co-host and radio personality, Adele Newton and sister Chrissy Newton, Founder of Toronto-based public relations agency VOCAB Communications, have joined forces to help raise funds for rural youth in Honduras by supporting Kitchener- Waterloo based charity, World Accord. Starlight on Saturday, Nov. 25 starting at 6:30 PM. In efforts to raise funds for this campaign, World Accord and the Newton sisters will be throwing a musical showcase at Waterloo’s Starlight Social Club where attendees can expect performances from incredible local talent, raffles and more.

Next week, the KW Local Film Showcase presents "Nowhere Fast" on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 7 PM. First up, catch a sampling of a few of the five-minute Festival Submissions of Cheri Booth, followed by the local classic "Nowhere Fast," written and directed by Josh Winker and produced by the team who now run Astrodog Media here in Kitchener.
