What to do.
The UW Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies (which I did not know existed) is celebrating their 50th anniversary with a special Pop-up Cinema event. Everyone is welcome to attend an outdoor screening of the classic 1986 John Hughes film, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, on Tuesday, July 25th on the Village 1 Green on the UW campus.
Come experience Canada like never before at the next Plugin Happening on Thursday, July 27. You and your flannel-cladded friends could get screeched in like the Newfies do’, try your hand at Inuit inuksuk building, or get bucked off an angry Albertan bull. Head on down to Victoria Park to celebrate Canada’s 150th year with more poutine, caesars, beer, cover songs, and more apologies than you can shake a beaver tail at, eh?
Nick and Nat's Uptown 21 presents their next destination of their Globe Trotters Supper Club on Thursday, July 28 and Friday, July 29. Experience tastes from Luang Prabang, Laos - five courses limited to 16 seats each eventing for $75 per person.
Victoria Park will be transformed into a 1.3km cycling race course this Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29 for the Kitchener Twilight Grand Prix.
This Saturday is also the second annual Sherwood Shindig. It's a free event hosted by Sherwood to give back to the community - with proceeds going towards Parkinson's disease research. There's live entertainment, food trucks and a beer garden.
