Celebrate National Aboriginal Day and the Summer Solstice at THEMUSEUM on Wednesday, June 21 at 5:59am. Yes - 5:59am. Set two alarms. Featuring an outdoor traditional Sunrise Ceremony lead by local fire keeper Al McDonald and community elder Kelly Fran Davis at 5:59AM, followed by a drum circle, music, and of course - coffee.

Still awake after getting up this early? Head over to the Kitchener Market for Farmers' Market Finds: Local and Fresh for the Summer on Wednesday, June 21 starting at 6:30pm. The menu includes grilled corn salsa, blackened chicken tacos, garlic shrimp skewers and a mason jar 'Kitchener Market cocktail' using fresh fruits from local farmers. I'm not telling you to sneak gin in for the cocktail, ok.

Thursday, June 22 is Food Truck Thursday at the train station in uptown Waterloo by the Perimeter Institute. This week has Ish & Chips and Fo'Cheezy serving delicious treats. Trucks are there 11am-1pm.

Green Light Arts presents "Will You Be My Friend" by Janice Jo Lee at the Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts in downtown Kitchener. Shows runs June 22 to June 25.

Saturday, June 24 is also the day for the 2017 KW Multicultural Festival. It's the 50th edition of the festival and showcases more than twenty culinary vendors - so bring empty stomachs and full wallets.

Smile.io presents Tame the Lane Block Party on Thursday, June 29 starting at 5pm. Head down to 305 King St for the block party of the summer.
