Tuesday, February 3
Make “Fetch happen” this month! Kitchener’s St. Dominic Savio Catholic Elementary School presents Mean Girls Jr at the Registry Theatre. The musical adaptation features students from the school performing the popular show about cliques and high school life.
Kitchener Public Library has a screening of No Place to Grow Old, a documentary that follows three older adults experiencing homelessness in Portland, Oregon. The film offers an intimate look at the growing housing crisis facing seniors and highlights a demographic that is often overlooked. Following the screening, a panel of community experts will lead a discussion to explore the issues raised and answer audience questions. 6pm at the Central Library.
Waterloo Public Library has a Cultureshock screening of Chris Rock's Bring the Pain at 6:15 at the main branch. This film explores how Rock’s bold and fearless performance reshaped the comedy landscape and sparked vital conversations about race and representation in popular culture.
Wednesday, February 4
Skate Night Date Night is the perfect outdoor adventure to keep the spark going during the cold days of February at the rink in Uptown Waterloo. DJ King Kadeem will be spinning Dancehall and Soca and the first 50 visitors each night at the Hissing Goose Coffee Roasters will also receive a complimentary hot drink.
TWB Brewing is celebrating 10 years with a 2016 Trivia Throwback at 7 pm, hosted by their trivia guru, Sean from the Seen on Screen Podcast!

Experience Shakespeare like never before at the Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre. In this Canadian premiere of Abigail Thorn’s play The Prince, two trans women find themselves trapped in a multiverse of Shakespeare’s works, fighting to escape through a maze of monologues and iambic pentameter. It’s a sword-wielding, madcap exploration of gender and performance that kicks off at 8:00 p.m.
Here’s two events for the lovers, the loners, and the hopeless romantics. Head to the Gaukel Creative Workspace in Downtown Kitchener for the Lupercalia Market | Witchy & Queer Market and celebrates dark romantic vibes over cheesy Valentine’s energy. This queer-affirming space features curated witchy and alternative vendors selling ritual tools, art, and self-care items.
The Guelph Storm are coming to the Aud to take on your Kitchener Rangers. Puck drops at 7.

Cookie Creations by Alison has a Valentines-themed Cookie Decorating Workshop from 2 to 4 pm at the Rabbid Fox.
The Tonewheels (Matt Weidinger, Chris Latta and Mike Rajna) are playing live at the Boathouse from 2 to 4:30 pm. Their music blends the styles of the classic Jimmy Smith/Jack McDuff blues/ jazz trios with beloved power trios such as Cream/Traffic.
