Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and the families who create homes away from home for your Kitchener Rangers on March 17 at the Kitchener Rangers St. Patrick’s Day game and Billet Appreciation Night! The Rangers are taking on the Flint Firebirds at home, and they’re turning the Aud green with St. Patrick’s Day spirit, from festive décor to green beer, as the Ranger Nation celebrates in true Irish style.

The UW Music Noon Hour Concert (at noon) is Between Grace and Fire with Lucy Liuxuan Zhang and Woobin Park.

The Kitchener Rangers and the City of Kitchener are teaming up once again to bring the second annual Downtown Showdown to Carl Zehr Square on Wednesday, March 18 from 12–5 PM! The afternoon features:

Dirty Work Studio is hosting its first DWS Lecture featuring English PHD Candidate Haley Down. This talk and discussion examines the multifaceted role of recipes in women’s food memoirs. Down argues that recipes within memoirs are not just practical, they invite the reader to participate in the text with their own bodies, something most literary forms do not do. 6 to 8 pm. PWYC.

LWIFF is back with another free movie and discussion at the Princess Twin on March 19! Dirty Work Studio is holding Deplatform Party, Part II – again! This is a celebration of the love of analog. In Part I, they chatted and committed to migrating off Spotify, a conversation which gave rise to the many ways we used to share music — mixtapes, etc.In Part II, on March 20, they'll be burning CDs, collaging covers for said mixtapes, and there’ll be opportunities to try tape dubbing and vinyl ripping too.

Porchlight is hosting a series of free Queer+ Teen Crafting Nights, and you can check it out on Monday, March 23. They happen at the Cambridge Food Bank (54 Ainslie St. S.) Mondays from 5-6:30. They're designed for teens ages 13-17 who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ or are questioning.
