Easter weekend is full of fun at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory! Work your way through 6 different stations where families will learn about animals and their eggs. Make sure to keep your eyes open for the Golden Mystery Eggs hidden in the Conservatory that will help you solve a riddle! Daily storytime and extra spring activities are also included in the regular admission price.

Want to try out skateboarding or get some time in before the weather gets nice? Bright Side Skate Supply, Waterloo Wellington Skate, Bluebird, Workshop Skateboard Club, and Clarity Park Skateboarding are hosting the Queensmount Skate Jam. There'll be lessons, activities, vendors, prizes and more in an action packed event and fun for all ages and skill levels. Hosted by the City of Kitchener! 4:30 to 8:30 pm.

All aboard the Easter Egg-spress! Join us for a magical heritage train ride the whole family will love. Travel to the Waterloo County Railroad (WCR) park for an Easter egg hunt where hidden surprises courtesy of the Easter Bunny himself await! Find the special egg and take home a WCR Easter Prize Basket. Multi JUNO Award–winning Indigenous (Oji-Cree) singer-songwriter Aysanabee is coming to Boathouse in Victoria Park on April 5. Known for his blend of alternative, indie-folk, and rock influences, Aysanabee puts on an amazing show!

Monday, April 6

The Boathouse DTK and host Patrick Sheese invite you to The Showboaters, a wonderful evening of interview, performance, and general tom-foolery. This "variety show" features two local artists competing head-to-head to showcase for the audience their performativity, compositions, and artistic styles. No Ticket required - reservations suggested to guarantee your spot!

The Essentials Fund welcomes Spring 2026 by launching its fifth annual fundraising campaign! With the goal to assist Waterloo Region non-profits, The Essentials Fund provides an unrestricted grant to eligible organizations to purchase essential items for their clients. Launched in 2022 by a group of community volunteers, The Essentials Fund has provided over $180,000 to non-profit organizations throughout Waterloo Region. 

Tacofest WR tickets drop on Tuesday!

Incredible drinks, great vibes, and a whole lot of tacos. That's right, the Wasterloo Region Tacofest is back for another year of great tacos and an important mission. Proceeds from the award-winning event support Community Support Connections, a local charity that works with hundreds of local volunteers to help over 7,000 seniors live happily and healthy in the comfort of their own homes. So set your reminders—tickets drop Tuesday, March 21 at noon, and they’re going to go fast!
