HackerNest Tech Socials are a fun, relaxed way to connect with your local tech brethren. Atmosphere: chill, friendly, unpretentious, agenda-free (no sales pitch, yo), and brimming with UltraSmart(TM) people. This week's social is hosted at Imagine Communications (26 Peppler St., Waterloo) starting at 8pm
Join the Atomic Labs team for a evening of craft beer, tasty eats and great conversation! Atomic Labs is a group of startups in the Tannery Building that wants to share their experiences being built from startup to scale through incubator and venture capitalist all-in-one, Atomic Labs. This event is happening at B @ THEMUSEUM (10 King St W, Kitchener) starting at 6pm.
Tuesday, September 13
K∩W exists to celebrate mathematics, computer science, programming languages, and intersectional activities like data science. The talk of the month is from Peter Higdon from VIP.McPedr0.Online who will show how he built an ESL (English as a second language) simulator with open data. For the paper of the month, Steven Taschuk will present a paper about Post-quantum cryptography. My brain hurts. The evening starts at 7pm at Boltmade (187 King St S, Waterloo).

Girls Geek Dinner Waterloo Region takes place Thursday at 6pm. This month's talk is by David Stewart from Miovision. David will speak about user-centric design - the framework for design that takes the end user (you) into account at every stage of the design process.
Saturday, September 17
This Saturday is Doors Open Waterloo! This is your chance to see inside the buildings in our community that you walk or drive by - but have never been in. Host buildings include Cambridge City Hall, Clearpath Robotics, Google Waterloo, The Mike & Ophelia Lazaridis Quantum Nano Centre, The Perimeter Institute, Shopify, and more!
