Shovelling sidewalks is yesterday's news. Today's hot topic is amalgamation - and people have opinions. Former mayor of Kitchener, Carl Zehr shares his in this opinion piece in The Record. We're all for an informed discussion on the topic - and Zehr's piece has some great points. (Please don't unsubscribe - Ed.)
Also in The Record, all around good guy Sam Nabi is leading an effort to make Gaukel Street a car-free street. It's been closed to traffic for a while now - and isn't set to open again until the end of the year. (We're 100% for this. Make King Street car-free too. -Ed.)
FOMO.

For delicious food paired with inventive cocktails, The Belmont Bistro is the place to be. Located a few minutes from the Grand River Hospital, The Belmont Bistro is the successor to Village Creperie. They serve up omelette and waffle brunches, pasta dinners, schnitzel lunches, and everything in between. They are probably best known for the Truffle Parmesan Fries but everyone is able to find something to love at The Belmont Bistro. They are also very accommodating and can cater to specific dietary preferences. The restaurant is cozy and tight, seating only about 40 people so they are ideal for small groups or dates. They have a wide selection of wine, cocktails, and caffeinated drinks to accompany your local made-from-scratch and made-to-order meals. When it gets warmer, be sure to check out their sidewalk patio and take in the laid-back Belmont Village experience.

We're excited to bring you restaurant reviews from KWFOMO. Follow them on Instagram for more awesome places to eat and drink in Waterloo Region.
