Green Light Arts presents a benefit performance of The Vagina Monologues on Feb. 14, 2018 at 7:00pm in honour of V-Day; a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls started by author, playwright and activist Eve Ensler. The Vagina Monologues will take place at Council Chambers, Kitchener City Hall. All proceeds benefit Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region and V-Day’s 2018 Spotlight Campaign: The Resistance. This performance is directed by Carin Lowerison, founding member and Managing Director of Green Light Arts. Tickets are $18.00. Seating is limited to 150 patrons.

The Berlin has Beef & Barolo this Thursday, Feb. 15 starting at 5 pm. Two steak dinners and a bottle of Matto Barolo for $99 plus tax and gratuity. I didn't google Matto Barolo, but it sounds fancy. I make a vegetarian version of this called "Kale salad and a box of Jackson-Triggs Cabernet Sauvignon". Dinner is served.

Saw the theme of Open Mic Night at The Berlin Bicycle Cafe and now "More Than Words" is stuck in my head for the rest of the day. Hope it's stuck in your head now too. That being said, Open Mic Night is Thursday, Feb. 15 starting at 7 pm and it's hosted by the always amazing Janice Jo Lee. More than words is all you have to do to make it real.

Maxwell's Concert and Events and KFUN 99.5 present The Spoons this Friday, Feb. 16 starting at 7:30 pm. They'll have you "Smiling in Winter". I had to look that up. The Spoons are a Canadian new wave band that started back in 1979 in Burlington.
