The awesome folks at Green Light Arts are excited to bring back award-winning artist Izad Etemadi to Kitchener in his second show featuring the character of Leila; a passionate, exuberant, Persian, Muslim woman that has won over the hearts of audiences across Canada and off-broadway in New York City with standing ovations and rave reviews.

A Very Leila Christmas picks up Leila’s story after she’s immigrated to Canada from Tehran, Iran. Leila takes a customer service job in a call centre during the holiday season inspiring her to learn all about this “Christmas-thing Canadians seem to love so much”. Leila tries impressing a co-worker (played by an unsuspecting audience member) by promising to throw the ultimate Christmas party – without any idea of how to do it – and hilarity ensues. Audiences join in singing all their favourite Christmas songs along the way and ultimately help Leila discover the true meaning of Christmas.
