Word on the Street, presented by Words Worth Books at the Kitchener Public Library is happening this Saturday, Sept. 16 from 1 pm to 4:30 pm. CBC's Craig Norris hosts an exciting line-up of some of the most talented and thought-provoking new authors at work in Canada today.
Porch View Dances is a touring dance performance in the King East neighbourhood. The dancing starts at 53 Betnzer Ave North at 12:30 pm and then makes its way to the Kitchener Market at 1:30 pm for a dance performance outside on the piazza. Today I learned that there's a piazza at the Kitchener Market.
Tour the one LRT train at 518 Dutton Drive in Waterloo this Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10 am to 5 pm. It's your chance to check out the maintenance facility and check out the LRT train.
The first Hold The Line Festival is also this Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Waterloo Rod & Gun Club in St. Jacobs. Hold The Line is a cycling and folk music festival that celebrates our region's country line. Music line-up includes Richard Garvey, JoJo Worthington, Sam Nabi, Carlos Morgan and more. If you're a cyclist - there's also 10k, 34k and 120k rides that explore the insanely beautiful development-free countryside we're lucky to be surrounded to by.
The Gaslight District development in Cambridge is throwing Day In The District this Saturday, Sept. 16 from 11 am to 9 pm. Headlined by Serena Ryder and Steven Page, this music, food and art festival is a free event open to the public.
