Tonight (Monday, Aug. 21), the Apollo Cinema presents 1985's Return of the Living Dead. It's part of their ongoing Monday, Bloody Monday series showcasing horror classics. Showtime is 7pm.


The Festival of Fools is this Wednesday, Aug 23 from 7pm to 10:30pm. It's a unique and exclusive evening of fun, food and frolic in support of the Sun Life Financial Waterloo Busker Carnival and KW Counselling Services!

Future States and Run Coyote play Starlight Social Club this Thursday, Aug. 24 starting at 9pm.

Goodvibes Juice Co is moving to the #walperblock! Help welcome the fresh, cold-pressed juicers with a party at the Lokal at The Walper Hotel. Located on the second floor of the hotel, they'll have amazing beet inspired cocktails and delicious (and healthy) snacks along with music and general good-times. RSVP needed. This Thursday, Aug. 24 starting at 5pm.


On Thursday, Aug. 24, head back to the Apollo Cinemas for the Hers-Day presentation of the 1979 sci-fi classic Alien. Showtime is 6:45pm.

Sunday, Aug. 27 is the Annual Block Party with Danny Michel & The Human Rights, hosted by the fine folks at Starlight Social Club. Gates open at 4pm - entrance at 5 Princess St. The Human Rights set is at 5pm, Danny Michel takes the stage at 7:30pm. 19+ event, tickets are $30 in advance.

LiveLocalKW is a grassroots initiative which challenges participants to eat, play and buy from local businesses for one week. LiveLocal runs from September 17-23, 2017.
