Looking for a movie tonight (Monday, July 10)? Apollo Cinema's Monday Bloody Monday series feature is Battle Royal starting at 7pm.
The Battle for KOI Music Fest is back at Maxwell's Music House this Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15. Friday night features Rawls Royce, The Bartops, Controversial Sharks, Seance Choir, and Mirrors and Tides. Saturday has Utl, Fatherbodies, Raider, Antisocial surf club, and Last Minute on stage. $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Ted, while I agree that, in time, our band will be most triumphant. The truth is, Wyld Stallyns will never be a super band until we have Eddie Van Halen on guitar.
Relish Cooking Studio has two events this week worth checking out. Tuesday, July 11 is Girl's Night Out from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Learn about Latin cuisine from the Dominican Republic and enjoy an awesome dinner and great conversation. Thursday, July 13 is Couple's Night with a focus on Moroccan cuisine.
Wednesday is Pub Stumpers Trivia with Ren at Descendants Beer and Beverage Company. Questions drop at 8pm. I'll take "swords" for $200 Alex. That's "S words".
THEMUSEUM shows you how they know how to engage with your community with "A Cause for Celebration?: A Reconciliation Dialogue" on Wednesday, July 12 at 5:30pm. This event is inspired by the message of resistance that happened to their Canadian flag on Canada Day. Free event, but donation of $10 is recommended. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Woodland Cultural Centre's Save the Evidence Campaign.
I was talking with a friend of mine about downtown Kitchener venues and she mentioned that Open Sesame is the dream store she'd like to open one day - except it's here right now. Head down on Wednesday, July 12 for Pine w/ Heavy Hearts, Gold Finch, Romancer and Anyone Anyway. Doors open at 7pm, $10 cover.
