What to drink...

It's a great week to expand your cider horizons. Celebrate Ontario Craft Cider Week at these awesome local establishments: Abe Erb, Arabella Park, B@THEMUSEUM, Beertown, The Bent Elbow, The Berlin, The Bruce, and White Rabbit.

What to do.

Abe Erb Kitchener (151 Charles St. W., Kitchener) has their Brew HaHa Comedy Show tonight, Monday May 29 at 8pm. Tonight's lineup is Nigel Grinstead and Christophe Davidson.

Nerd Nite KW episode 42 is this Wednesday, May 31 starting at 7pm at The Watchtower Restaurant (280 Lester St., Kitchener). Two smart-yet-funny talks, twenty question trivia with terrible prizes, door prizes and nerd community!

Goudies Lane between Queen St. and the J&P Grocery entrance is being turned into a traffic-free patio area for June, July & August. On Thursday, June 1 from 6pm to 8pm, celebrate this pilot project with a 1/2-block party featuring live mural painting, fabulous live music and a great chance to add your own splash of colour to the space. You'll find the action between 8 Queen St. N. and 20 Queen St. N. - right beside the doors to J&P.

Celebrate the official opening of the Bauer Kitchen patio for the season! Head over after work and join them on the patio for samples from Bench Brewing Company, Cave Spring Cellars, Dixon's Distilled Spirits and Elora Brewing Company. This Friday, June 2 from 5pm to 8pm.

If you're downtown on Saturday June 3, stop by the Yeti (14 Eby St, Kitchener) and help them celebrate their fifth anniversary! Live music from 10am to 2pm.

It's always great when people visit town and share their experiences with us. CAFKA (Contemporary Art Forum Kitchener and Area) and Musagetes are hosting Kimberly Drew as their next speaker in the Big Ideas in Art and Culture lecture series. Her talk will be at the Walper Hotel on Saturday, June 3 at 7 PM. Admission is free.

Queer Night Out is throwing the Tri-Pride Dance Party this Saturday, June 3 at the Crowne Plaza in Kitchener. Doors open at 9 PM, tickets will be available in advance (online) for $8 or $12 at the door.

Arabella Park is combining my two favourite things - craft beer and crafts with their Craft Beer Makers Market on Sunday, June 4 from noon until 5pm. Check out their info page for a full list of vendors.
